Slant of Light Theater Company proudly presents the premiere of our
2011/2012 Rail Against the Headlines Season. A season of plays
depicting the issues humanity is currently grappling with…taking
issues that have been “ripped from the headlines” and holding up a
mirror, therefore inspiring communication…and then action.
Bridgeport Occupied
Bringing a new style of contemporary theater to Fairfield County, this
production, written from interviews conducted with local community
members, will tie our current political situation to our backyard of
Bridgeport, CT. Through the words of these individuals Slant of Light
hopes to inspire communication…and then action as we explore the
innate optimism that lies within the American individual. All
interviews will be spoken verbatim and placed in the structure of an
engaging theatrical experience incorporating music and movement. This
performance is a call to action by the very people who keep Bridgeport
Occupied.
