Reading Ultrasound 3D DICOM Image

I am trying to open ultrasound volumes (Supplement 43: Storage of 3D Ultrasound Images; Enhanced US VolumeStorage Transfer Syntax) with DeVIDE.

Unfortunately this fails with an error message (screenshot attached):
Coud not read xxxx.dcm: Error in ..\..\..\archive\gdcm\Utilities\VTK\vtkGDCMImageReader.cxx, line 722
vtkGDCMImageReader (00000000BEAA990): ImageReader failed on xxxx.dcm

The DICOM browser is showing some information from the files like patient name, ID, description and also the number of images.


Support for reading those files would be greatly appreciated.
Is this even an issue with DeVIDE, or this a VTK issue?

tried on DeVIDE 12.2.7, Windows 7, 64 bit.
