BIOGRAPHY: I am really excited to have Pritam Advani joining us at
DevHousePgh 11. Pritam Advani has played a significant role in a
number of successful technology start up businesses in Pittsburgh
which many of you have heard of. He was the Chief Operating Office at
TechRx and on the management team of E-Transport which were both
developed into successful businesses locally and sold. His current
company, PCN Closings has been an Inc. 5000 company in 2008. Pritam
has also been a successful consultant both on his own and as an
accountant at Ernst & Young. I asked Pritam to come in and give some
advice on how to develop a successful start up business from a
technology idea into marketable business. This is a great
opportunity to ask some questions from one of Pittsburgh’s serial
entrepreneurs. Having worked with Pritam over the past 6 years, I
consider him to be an excellent teacher and am thrilled that he agreed
to come to our group and offer some advice as the featured Lighting
Talk which will start at somewhere between 6:30PM and 7PM.



This DevHousePgh event will be the first lightning talk event under
our new quarterly format. We will focus on lightning talks once a
quarter (August, November, February, and May) and the other 2 monthly
DevHousePGH events will focus on software coding and networking and be
held at Hack Pgh. The meetings will be on the 3rd Tuesday over every
month but Lightning Talks might be held at different venues such as
Remedy’s. Please feel free to attend and speak. Impromptu Lightning
Talks are encouraged. Anything related to software development and
technology is of interest to the group. We will have a projector, a
screen and an audience!!!! If you are working on something cool,
looking for someone to help you with a project, have a theory you’d
like to share. Really it’s all fair game. Just try to keep the
material short. 3 – 5 minutes in length. Of course, the featured
lighting talk will be longer in length. There is also food and a cash
bar.



There is also free Internet access and the third floor will be open to
anyone who wants to code on their own or in small groups.
