Children-Women in Social Service and Human Rights (CWISH), a non-profit organization, established in 1993 with an aim to ensure social justice, protection and promotion of human rights especially the rights of children, invites applications for the post of Advocacy and Communications Expertfrom interested eligible candidates (Nepali citizens only) who are reliable, accountable, and have ability to deliver results with highest level of integrity. Position: Advocacy and Communications Expert for Child Labour: Action-Research Innovation in South and South-Eastern Asia (CLARISSA) Programme Post Type: Full time (40 hours per week) Work Station: Kathmandu Salary: NRs 24 to 26 Lakhs per annum pro rata (all inclusive) Contract Type: Two and a half years with 3 months probationary period Competencies required:
Major Responsibilities: · Work in close collaboration with the country team and CSC HQ staff to ensure that children involved in the action research are empowered to speak out about their lived realities. · Explore possibilities of engaging with and strengthening existing platforms for child-led advocacy. · Together with the country team and CSC HQ staff, be responsible to develop context appropriate and child-friendly advocacy training materials and packages. · Coordinate the development of an advocacy plan with the country team, and support from CSC HQ staff where necessary. · Support the country team and CSC HQ staff in engaging with regional and international UN institutions and mechanisms for advocacy purposes. · Participate in shared learning activities, such as webinars, input into e-learning materials, sharing case studies of successes, challenge and good practices, that will be shared with the project partners, as well as the global CSC Network. · Support CLARISSA’s communication activities on a country and global level via social media; blog commissioning and writing; identifying key moments to communicate and share messages; even promotion; and media engagement.
