Dear colleagues and friends,

 

I am reaching out to make you aware of the forthcoming 7th Biennial Conference Africa Academy of Management Conference 2024 (https://www.africaacademyofmanagement.org/). The conference is due to take place 8- 10 Jan 2024 at the Stellenbosch Business School campus in Cape Town. Our theme is “Transforming Organizations in the Digital Era: Dignity, Justice, and Prosperity in Africa”. We are looking to develop understanding of how organizations in Africa are adapting to the transformative forces of digitalisation. Additionally, the conference aims to understand how the nature and contexts of work can be redesigned to foster sustainable management; to promote workplace dignity, justice, and prosperity for employees and their communities.

 

We are particularly interested in engaging with researchers who use practice-based approaches. On 11 Jan 2024, outside of the conference program Warwick Business School and Stellenbosch Business School are planning the event “North-South Dialogue on Practice-Based Approaches to Management Studies in Africa” (https://warwick.ac.uk/fac/soc/wbs/research/ikon/north-south-dialogue/) where we are looking to foster collaborations and develop conversations on sensitising practice-based methods to the African setting. This event is free of charge but you are required to register in advance and provide information about your research.
