Hello all,

With the solstice just behind us and with another unprecedented season of storms, droughts, and fires upon us, we are curious to hear from folks about how children learn about seasons, weather, the climate, and climate change.
  • What aspects of daily life provide opportunities for children to think about these issues? What about special events, like holidays, festivals, or protests?
  • In what ways might children nowadays be experiencing and learning about these topics differently from children of previous generations?
  • Among the children you are familiar with, are questions and discussions (and other forms of learning) about seasons, weather, the climate, and climate change connected to a child's religious and spiritual life?
As always, scholarly, anecdotal, expert, speculative, and personal comments are all welcome here. And if you are a researcher working on these topics yourself, please point us to your work!

All the best,
Kara & the DBN leadership team
