The Developing Belief Network (developingbelief.com; Project Directors: Rebekah Richert and Kathleen Corriveau) is inviting applications to support up to 2 Dissertation Fellowships ($30,000 each) for students writing a dissertation to be completed in the 2021-2022 academic year. Please refer to the attached flyer for more detailed information about the areas of focus relevant to the DBN and expectations for the awarded funding.
Dissertation topics should be related to the research topics of interest to the Developing Belief Network and involve data collected with children (and potentially parents) at a location outside of the United States or with an understudied population within the United States.
This is an excellent opportunity for doctoral students whose work bridges theory and empirical examination of areas like the development of religious and supernatural cognition, cultural transmission of information, conceptual development, cultural psychology, and belief formation.
Dissertation fellowship proposals are invited from students (either US or non-US citizens) who are PhD candidates (or the equivalent) and are due by 11:59PM PT on August 1, 2021.
