As of October 1, 2025, the Blue Button 2.0 API is impacted by the government’s lapse in appropriations. The production and sandbox API functionalities are operational though service outages are possible and our responses to your questions will be delayed for the duration of the shutdown. There is additional information regarding the shutdown at www.HHS.gov.

Hello Blue Button Community,
Due to the government shutdown, CMS is not holding meetings or calls with external parties. As a result, the Developer Office Hours scheduled for Tuesday, October 28th from 12-1pm ET is cancelled. Once normal government operations resume, we will alert the community to additional office hours that will be scheduled.
