Using BB 2.0 just for authentication

Hello,

One of our use cases simply requires users to login with their Medicare.gov account so we can validate that the user is a Medicare beneficiary. At this stage, this is just for authentication and we will not be accessing any beneficiary data. Are there services other than BB2.0 that can accomplish this, or is BB2.0 the right choice?
