Use other free forums site instead of Google Groups?

Er, I was wondering if you guys would be willing to stop using Google
Groups and start using a free forums web site instead?

The reason I ask is because I'm going nuts not being able to go back
and edit my typos and/or broken web links in my posts.

Our guild uses InvisionPlus, and has not have any issues/problems with
it. We'll have free full forums setup that allows uploads/downloads.

If not InvisionPlus, if you google on "free forums hosting" you'll see
a bunch of companies that offer the same kind of thing.

I love Google, and their open source way of things, but their Google
Groups (based on what I've seen from XUB group) blows.

Thoughts?

Agree 99%. I reserve the 1% because I am the owner so they let me
delete my mistakes. I copy the text - delete - reply again - nobody
ever knows ;-)

I wonder if we can get a developer forum in WoWInterface? hmm looked
and WoWinterface is linked to alakazam and you get a private forum
there with membership. I am willing to pay for the membership - they
are hosting the mod. Let me know if you want to go that way.

I agree that this forum is not optimal.
So wherever you want to go, I will follow ;-)))

My recommendations are:
a) Keep the issue tracker here
b) Keep the discussion open.
The new forum should be readable and writeable for all users.
I'd really like to build up an active community about XUB.
