How to increase volume of encoded avi?

Greetings,
I have Devede up and running on Ubuntu-9.04. Devede operates
correctly as I am able to have several avi files encoded into a dvd
iso.
Question: I have a avi that I converted to a dvd iso. The iso plays
correctly however the audio volume is too low. I looked through the
Devede menus and options but I couldn't find an option to have the
audio volume increased.
Ideas?
