Sorry I had to miss the last nights meetings - I have been *busy* *busy*
with work and school. I hope you did not cover REST and design
patterns! I would have loved to have an intro since those are two topics
I have read some on, but don't grok deeply.
I thought I send this to you folks since I *think* of you all as
knowledgeable developers who might know someone around town interested
in this.
I'm working at the Arizona Respiratory Center right now on in a
part-time position while I am in school. They are *really* looking for
a Grails/Groovy developer (using springsource, MySQL/Tomcat) to start
um... yesterday.
The position would ideally be full-time, but could be part time if they
find someone who only wants part-time. The current top salary they have
listed is at 40k/yr (includes UA benefits, e.g. tuition remission,
health-care, etc) there could be upward flexibility in that, based on
the right person (experienced.) The position is listed as temporary. I
estimate that at absolute minimum it would last 6 months, but if someone
wanted a permanent position they may have some future opportunities as
well.
If you want more details, email me... I realize that the salary listed
is low for someone with much experience - But thought you all might know
someone who is talented and recently out of school etc who might be
interested - or someone between jobs who might be interested in working
on this PT for a few months while they look for something else.
Thanks!
Shanna

No problem, thanks for getting the rooms organized! A few
Wednesdays would be good for me, if that would help with room
availability. The Main library also has a meeting room.
I won't be able to make it tonight as we have a guest coming over,
and I think we are out of town the 28th, but I will try to make the
January meeting for sure!
If anyone wants to do project updates by email too, I'd be happy to
take a peek.
