We had 2 guests coming to our office yesterday to discuss about
organizing, coordinating and logistics planning of DevCamp.

They are:
Mr. Sathish Kumar - Head Executive, Society of Rich Internet
Applications - Rich User Interface (http://www.ria-rui.org) and a
member of Chennai Flex Users Group.
Mr. Balaji Sowmyanarayanan - A Prominent member of Amazon Web Services
Enthusiasts User Group, Chennai

The discussions were centered around food, venue, sponsorship,
takeaway for the participants such as T-shirts, Stationaries and of
course in attracting the best minds in chennai to attend the event.

Venue is sponsored by ThoughtWorks. We are looking for potential
sponsors for food and other takeaways. Sathish had agreed to make sure
the event gets visibility in Flex Users Group as well as Unity - a
group in chennai for User interface design. Balaji.S agreed to look
into potential sponsors for some of the takeaways of the event as well
as promoting the event in AWS and Cloud Users Group in Chennai.

Will keep you posted on further developments as and when it happens.

More Updates:

We've our first registered speaker thanks to Shiv Deepak for giving
the heads up. (I know that there are few who have decided to speak but
not yet added their names in the wiki - requesting them to do so soon)

He is Sudarsun Santhiappan[1], Director - Research at Burning Glass
Technologies, Chennai. These are some of his presentations -->
http://www.slideshare.net/sudarsun/presentations. He has agreed to
present either on 'C++ Design Patterns' or 'Latent Semantic Indexing
and Plagiarism detection' or both :)

Balaji.S as I said in my previous update, has been meticulous in
trying to find sponsors for the event and through his efforts we've
zoho[2] willing to sponsor notepads and pens for the event.
