But, Chennai Central is already taken up by Ignite Chennai, and
Ignite will be a repeated event too. so I thought, we might have to
think about some other landmark.
Some thoughts here:
1. Mahabalipuram/Meenakshi temple
2. tamil nadu map. (chennai map is too blurry)
3. bharatanatyam posture (say a black & white shadow of the nataraja
posture or even one of this --> http://desirage.com/images/products/layouts/bharatanatyam-poses-layout.png)
any other image of chennai - tamil nadu that comes to your mind.
The tamil nadu map can come in the fireball, and we can choose some of
the other choice of image for the background.

My suggestions.
The background Statue is black color.
So that ,colors of 'Dev July 10,2010' and 'Camp Chennai' (blue and red) not clearly visible.
If you will change into yellow , orange and green color of those letters, it may visible clearly.
It my assemetion only. What do you think about this.
While printing logo on tshirt, the date and letters should be visible.
Or is it possible to make in many different colors of letters. So that people can vote on it know.

Ok i am making some Logos with different colors.
I will be placing the text and background in separate pics and after
each voting session we can select which text and background to
select! :)
why dont we have meetings on IRC channel from today only??

Hmmm. Is it possible to make letters in inkscape. ( other than background image ).
So that we wont meet resolution problem while printing on tshirt or stickers.
If we use gimp or photoshop , it will reduce the resolution.
So we can use scalable vector graphics tool like Inkscape . We no need to worry about the resolution here.
It my request only. If u want to handle inkscape means , i can help you buddy. you can learn it quickly. :-)

Actually i am working behind a GPRS dial up connection, it is very
very slow, so i cant download Inkscape. I can't promise you with
inkscape but i will try to get it asap.
If there is a resolution problem then should i create images with hi
resolution? Will that work?
I think Photoshop supports vector graphics. I am googling for that!

This is online svg editor. To know the power of svg,go to the above link and draw some lines using pencil in drawing board.
And then zoom it 100X times.
If there is a resolution problem then should i create images with hi
resolution? Will that work?
Do it same thing in photoshop or gimp ( draw some line and zoom it). Can you see the difference ?
photoshop and gimp are generally developing images under pixel map.
But inkscape doing only under svg.

ohh! never designed anything for printing, only for web only..
i am downloading the inkscape, win exe is ~38MB
i hope it will be done by the night or tomorrow morning,
my reliance netconnect is not working properly, called customer care,,
may be it would be up working by evening but i can't rely on that, if
it works then InkScape will be downloaded in no time,.. meanwhile i
check for it in the some linux for you Discs! :-)

Actually I love coding but as i am a student and am learning all the

Things I have considered for t-shirt Design:
1. I have given blur edges to the logo in images DCC1-T05 and DCC-T04
as you told me in the meeting.
2. There was a trouble with black back-ground as the "DEV" of DevCamp
is also black in colour so i used Grey instead. i hope you like it.
3. I have searched in the web for some devcamp images and found that D
of Dev and C of Camp are in capitals.. so i used capitals for them.
4. I have used least number of colors as much as possible since you
remind me in the meeting that it would reduce the cost of printing.
please let me know if I am missing something.

Superb. I like DCC1-T05 and DCC1-T04, it should be nice to print .
My suggestions:
DCC1-T02, DCC1-T03, having that black logo (right side) know. It may not visible while printing on tshirt.
