to DEVADIGA
Dear All,
I wanted to update you all that what happened in this week, I happened
to meet Mr. Raghu, Mr. Rajanikant, Mr. Rajesh and many more such like
minded people on the pretext of Bangalore Devadiga Sangha Sports Day.

I met various people who also shares the opinion that we should build a
database of our people. I was eager to meet people who shares same
idea, and that was good platform to meet people and know their take on
this.

Things we discussed are as follows:

* We (ie. Team Devadiga will provide them the basic database
structure, i mean database fields what are the details we need to
capture from a member) and they will go ahead and they will collect
them on the AGM meeting. As they are expecting many people will turn up
for the AGM event and this will be a correct platform to collect the
details. This we can take as a pilot project and see how good we can
achieve our aim in collecting the data.

* For this task i met one Mr. Rajesh who works for Qualcom and was
very enthu, about the whole thing, but sadly i could not meet more
people from tech background who can help us in shaping this project in
systematic way. I have a serious concern on this as without peoples
participation we will not be able to achieve our vision. (The response
for our appeal -wave 1 is very dull, and i am already scratching my
head )

* Book Bank: Though many people shared and appreciated the idea,
some have expressed the concerns (including me) on Where these books
will be stored ?and who will collect and maintain the books etc. more
on the operation side of this project. So Let us put extra effort to
come up with the mode how this will be achieved, basically i am i have
idea that we should come up with the plan and operational guidelines.
This Guideline should describe about the Roles and responsibilities and
a overview on how things will be maintained. We shoud write a stroy
board like I donate a set of books to mangalore sangaha secretary and
he/she collects those books and write those details in a register and
keeps them in a seperate locker. The Book Manager collects those books
and categorises them and Put a label on them along with writing them in
his register. ..... so on. So that we can debate over certain process
is not addressed properly. Think and reply on this aspect.

* I collected some email ids from the people who attended the
sports meet (some 15 email ids) whom we will update and invite them for
our debate.

* IMPORTANT: I have a impression that we are not reaching people,
so let us keep our discussion in google devadiga group itself so that
whoever have subscribed the group will automatically get our mails and
later one point they will also be involved eventually by looking at our
efforts. I think some one already raised this point, but from hence
forth let us use this medium. By having said that we can still exchange
mails whenever needed but the debate let us keep them in the google
devadiga group. The points which we conclude will be stored by Dhan
prakash and Amitha ( pls raise any issue if you have).

* I hoped that you all will shoot me and debate over the 'Features'
i send you recently, as Those are the thing which are in my mind and i
have done enough thinking to put them together. Now i wanted you to
debate over those features, and come up with ideas, enhancements,
disagreements etc. so that we can freeze them. How come no body gave
any comments on them, either nobody understood them or every features
are accepted as it is. No debate is needed???

* last but not the least The President of Mumbai Sangha spoke to me
last saturday and encouraged and appreciated our efforts. Also invited
us to meet them in mumbai sangha. We have a long way to go and we have
just got up for the journey, now many miles to go before we realised
our vision.

* Sorry I should have updated you guys some time back but due to my
other engagements

Friends let us be late but not late then never. So put on your thinking
shoes ....Lets go ahead

Cheers

Prashanth CM
