I am working on a non CNC project that requires several linear rails.

My questions are:

1. Can I use TinyG to control the rails?

2. Is TinyG standalone only requiring a power supply and USB connection?

3. Do the rails need their own power supply?

Thank you

Jeff,
Linear rails are not electromechanical devices, tinyg drives stepper motors.
TinyG needs power and usb.
TG and motors share the same power rails.

I suggest you read through https://github.com/synthetos/TinyG/wiki its quite comprehensive.
