All,

I am about to assemble a router table and was wondering if the Tiny G board will support closed loop stepper motors NEMA 23 size. I was considering either Leadshine or Schneider motors.

Any guidance would be most gratefully received.

Regards,

Craig.

TinyG has no I/O or logic to deal with the Motor Output Signal connections.
I would guess you could connect to the Step/Dir logic on the tinyG to signal the motors(after buffering) then develop something to to monitor the response, buts sounds like a job better done by a made-for purpose controller such as the Leadshine units

TinyG outputs step, direction and enable signals at 3.3v with step pulses > 2 microseconds. Some closed loop steppers can be run in step/direction mode, so these may work if the specs match. As Carl says, TinyG does not drive closed loop motors directly.
