I am looking into making a CNC using the Tiny G. I want to use a Raspberry pi as the computer. I was looking through the setup infomation and it does not seem to give infomation about linux/Raspberry Pi setup of the COM port Drivers. Is it true that in linux you can skip this step because it says at the website to download the drivers that "VCP drivers are integrated into the kernel." So do I not need to install these drivers. Am I correct.

I never found that I had to install any drivers. Raspi just picked up the TinyG automatically.

From the Raspian command line enter
ls -l /dev/ttyU*
you should see an output for /dev/ttyUSB0.
There are no "COM" ports in linux
