A project like DEV4X allows us to take a step back and think: if we could put together the best findings in pedagogy, neurology, and ed-tech to create an optimal learning experience, what would that look like?
Over the next few months I'm going to meet and talk to experts in both fields in order to get a better idea of how to approach to areas:
1) The learning experience (how content is presented and taught --gamification, spaced repetition...)
2) Deployment (how to create self-learning communities that engage both virtually and physically in the mentoring and peer-tutoring process --accountability...)
Both would include revelant suggestions for technological or operational implementation.
My questions to the anybody helping out:

-What sort of knowledge would be most helpful for you? What questions would you like me to ask people who work in pedagogy, neurology and ed-tech?
-How would you like me to rellay the information back to you?
Here is a hypothetical example:
You need me to find out what's the most effective to way to pattern which part of the content the student sees for it to enter their long term memory.
I would talk to experts and find out that something called spaced repetition is highly effective for long term memorization.
I would relay the information back to say, the Tech team, suggesting the implementation of Spaced Repetition Software (which happens to be open-source thanks to Anki), into the learning experience.
I will also most likely receive insights from these experts that we have not yet thought of and will share them with the appropriate teams to find out whether or not it should be implemented, and if so, in what way.

Actions:
1) Please answer the questions above.
Learning methodologies will affect all aspects of the project to some extent, so input from all teams would be appreciated. Be as specific or broad as you want.
2) We need an effiencient way to communicate withing and across teams, I recommend we use Slack. If this is possible, I'd be happy to get us set up in the coming week.

This is a really great initiative you are taking on! I'll provide some of my suggested answers to these questions in a few days.
