Hi
Did a quick check on the search engine plugins for Symfony. Was it Lucene we thought of or Solr? Lucene is only for Propel, right?

Regards,
Dennsi

Ok, there is a plugin, too. Did not appear when filtering for "search" and "doctrine", "1.4". Thanks for the hint.

Dennis

fyi. i am in las palmas atm. tomorrow i will be in teneriffe. but i
will probably hak around in the behaviors some more over the week. in
march i will not be traveling at all so i hope to really push things
from my side then.

as for the search. i am planning on using solr. i have been spending
quite a bit of time with it in the past weeks that i now feel
confident i can get us an awesome solution that matches the proposed
interface. since i spoke at the symfony conference last week i also
meet the author of the solr extension for symfony. but we will see if
we even need that.

but that reminds me i need to talk to marian about getting us a
dedicated server so we can install stuff like this.

regards
Lukas

sphinx is a good alternative to full text in general. but for the kayak.com like search the facet sesrch in solr is a huge help.

warren welcome! check the wiki. i think herman started on the country organization stuff. maybe you can start with the doc management stuff. step one would be just relying on dennis excel importer to grt thr docs in. so for now we need management of the reservations (relies on hermans work) as well as the doc relations.
