Subject: Cirrus Testing

Jim,

Looks like Aaron and I have to end our testing for the year, our club will disassemble all gliders for their annual inspection and winter storage on Saturday 11/19. Concurrent with this, the insurance also is converted to winter storage, we start a new season the end of March 2012. Next year I plan to lobby the club to keep insurance on one glider and tow plane for winter flying.

We tried to get at least one more test done before the end of our soaring season but the weather didn't cooperate. I flew the Cirrus last Saturday on a very windy day and still impressed with the performance improvements we have made with your help. Thanks much!

Good to see that others are joining the testing, we will follow the results and be available to share our data or test methods as needed to others in the group. You also have  approval to share our data with others.

Was interesting about your cost of doing the test, our tow cost to 8K is about half your cost but we enjoyed every flight. Aaron and I work good as a team, him the test pilot and me towing, plus Aaron has all the great gadgets for testing.
