Closer look at first probe data

Jari,

Following is the raw data for the 52 KIAS run calculated as airspeed (kts). The smooth blue curve is the uncalibrated glider speed. The others are the four probe levels. The waviness in the probe signals appear to be aerodynamic, not electronic noise. This is evident by comparing them to the smooth glider Pitot data. Sampling at 1Hz, the variations are most certainly aliased samples of higher frequencies.

It is noteworthy that the highest probe Pitot (orange) has noticeably larger amplitude variations than the three lower levels that seem to be about the same. This probably indicates stronger instability perturbations at the higher level.
