Hi Dave,
Yesterday, the folks at the Madison gave the okay to use the building for the user group.
I was planning to start in January however, Michael Pardo from Mobiata might be willing to try his upcoming CodeMash and CodeStock talk out on Dec 14. Michael has been preparing his talk Android Pro Tips and I've offered to let our group be his test bed of sorts. I'll send a note when and if it is confirmed. It is a bit of short notice for him but it would let him try it out prior to CodeMash.
Android Pro Tips
Abstract: Android has made mobile development easy and
accessible to thousands of developers, but what makes the best Android
developers stand out? This discussion covers the tips and tricks that
professional Android developers use to make featured apps.
Presented By: Michael Pardo
About the Speaker: Michael Pardo is a software engineer
working on Android apps at Mobiata, now a subsidiary of Expedia. He has
been working as a developer for over eight years. Most of that time was
spent writing web apps using C#. Now he spends most of his time writing
Android apps. He also writes an active record style ORM for Android
called ActiveAndroid. ActiveAndroid allows you to easily persist objects
to SQLite databases in Android. Prior to Mobiata, Michael has worked
for Web Ascender, WhitePages, Artemis Solutions, and MC Squared.
