Hi--brief note re: the Network's google group

Hi all-- so far there are 14 members of the Network signed up to this
google group-- please encourage other network participants you know
to join this group, since this will help to facilitate our
communications, and allow us to move beyond individual email lists by
providing a common group email address, which provides transparency
and inclusiveness by allowing all members of the group to see who is
part of the group, and assuring that all members of the group receive
emails sent to the group.

Please feel free to use the group to send messages to the group
pertaining to the Network-- the Google Group interface makes emailing
the entire group easy, and also makes the initiation of a group
discussion easy for any member of the group--

One of the conveniences of this group software is that it also
provides the ability for any member to post documents for the entire
group to review, without having to rely on sending out email
attachments, so we can use this site to post documents for common
discussion, especially as we collaborate to develop a set of commonly
agreed-upon Network principles--

Toward this end, as the first posted documents, I've posted the
meeting notes summary from the first meeting of March 5 (originally
distributed to all March 5 meeting participants via email on March
13), along with a brief summary of minutes from the second meeting on
April 2. (The March 5 notes are more detailed since we had a Social
work grad student from UM taking notes for that meeting.)

Please feel free to initiate discussions or post documents relevant to
the development of the Network on this site--
