Check out the latest happenings for A2U as we lead up to summer:

Summer League

Ann Arbor Ultimate’s hottest league is almost upon us. Summer League starts on June 4th and we are announcing ultimate on 3 different nights:

Sunday - Recreational, no experience necessary
Wednesday - Recreational, no experience necessary
Thursday 50-50 - Gender-capped league, games will be played with 3 or more women per team per point, no experience necessary

This year, we will be splitting the Sunday games into 2 separate 6-week divisions. You can register for either or both, as each will operate independently (separate registration, new teams).

We will announce our competitive draft league as soon as possible. We are taking extra time to ensure that we have the best field situation possible.

Spring Hat Tournament

A2U is hosting a hat tournament next Sunday (May 21st) starting at 11am. All those signed up for Spring League play for FREE (and it’s only $5 for anyone else). To sign up or see more details, hit up our website. Registration is now open!

Metro-Area Ultimate League

Long-time league player Uzoma “Z” Okeke is partnering with Ann Arbor Ultimate to bring a division to the Clawson area on Thursday evenings. This new venture is called Metro-Area Ultimate League and will kick off on June 15th.

Ann Arbor Ultimate will be handling registration, teams, schedule, and website while Z will be administering the day-to-day operations. If you have any questions, hit us up at regist...@annarborultimate.org or email Z at uzoma...@yahoo.com.

New League Director

League staple Jordan RoseFigura has stepped up and joined the Ann Arbor Ultimate Directors. Jordan brings a lot of experience and know-how with her playing in leagues from the Bay Area to NYC to Philadelphia and having served on the board for Manhattan Ultimate Disc (MUD). We’re thrilled to have her join us and can’t wait to see the things she can bring to A2U.

Jordan is replacing long-time director Adam Taylor. We are enormously grateful for Adam’s contributions and are sad to see him go. Next time you see either Jordan or Adam out at league, give them a “thank you” and a high five! :)
