JV gave up 3 homers today in the Tigers' 4-3 loss to the Yankees. They were all solo shots so that's kind of vintage Verlander (JV has always been a bit vulnerable to giving up homers).
He did strike out 5 in 3.1 IP.
The Tigers' bullpen allowed 1 run in 5.2 IP.
The Tigers' offense was kind of weak again. Yankees' starter Will Warren allowed 2 runs in 6 IP. Zach McKinstry hit a solo homer against Warren.
Carpenter, Vierling, Tork and Keith were a combined 0-11. Woof!
