Along with their number one pick in the 2007 draft, RH pitcher Rick Porcello, the Tigers have also signed 5th round pick Casey Crosby. Crosby is a 6'5" left hander out of Kaneland HS in Illinois and considered by many to be a steal in the 5th round.
Detroit is also reportedly close to a deal to sign Cale Iorg. Iorg is a shortstop who played one year at the University of Alabama before spending the last 2 years on a mormon mission. Iorg is the son of former major leaguer Garth Iorg and was Detroit's 6th round selection. If Iorg signs with Detroit the Tigers will have signed all of their top 10 selections from the 2007 draft.
