Parker Meadows started for Toledo last night, and hit a triple, but he was pulled from the game early.  I hope it was just caution; it seemed odd to replace Meadows with Gage Workman.

Hate to say it, but we might need Meadows for his defense in CF and as a platoon partner for Baez in CF.  Baez really shouldn’t be starting against righties anymore.  He can’t hit righties but is decent vs. lefties. Meadows can start against righties and sit against lefties.  The problem is it’s hard to carry Meadows and Baez in the lineup if they can barely put up .500 OPS.

I’ve advocated for Perez in CF because he’s our best-hitting CF option (assuming they don’t want to play Greene in CF anymore) and doesn’t need to be platooned, but his defense in CF has been sketchy.  He’s better defensively in RF.

Meadows started for Toledo tonight.  Went 0-3 with a walk and 2 Ks.  He's ready to come back.  ;-)
