Former Tigers play-by-play announcer and longtime Detroit sports TV personality Ray Lane died Saturday at the age of 95:

Lane was the middle-innings announcer on WJR with Ernie Harwell in the late 1960s and into the '70s. Paul Carey succeeded him on the radio when he became WJBK's sports anchor.
