After winning games on Friday and Saturday, the Tigers tied the Blue Jays in Lakeland on Sunday afternoon.
In the top of the third, Rafael Lantigua walked, Sean Keys doubled, and Jonatan Clase doubled to drive in Mr Lantigua and Mr. Keys.
In the bottom of the fourth, Kerry Carpenter singled, Gleyber Torres singled, Riley Greene doubled to drive in Mr. Carpenter, and Spencer Torkelson singled to drive in Mr Torres.
In the top of the sixth, Jonatan Clase singled, Daulton Varsho doubled, Jesus Sanchez singled to drive in Mr. Clase, and pinch-runner Jay Harry scored on a ground out by Brandon Valenzuela.
In the bottom of the eighth, Corey Julks walked, went to third base on a single by John Peck, and scored on a single by Austin Slater. Mr. Peck made it to third base on the single by Mr. Slater, and scored on a sacrifice fly by Eduardo Valencia.
Tarik Skubal gave up two runs on four hits and a walk in three innings. He struck out two.
Kenley Jansen pitched a perfect inning in the fourth. He struck out one.
Kyle Finnegan pitched a perfect inning in the fifth. He struck out one.
Will Vest gave up two runs on three hits. He struck out one.
Enmanuel De Jesus pitched the last three innings of this gaame. He allowed two hits, which he spread out. Seven of the nine outs he got were strikeouts.
This afternoon, the TIgers are hosting the Braves. In the top of the sixth, the Braves lead the Tigers, 3-0.
