The Athletic (New York Times) did a poll of 100 mlb players, asking them which organizations had good and bad reputations.

From 100 players, the Tigers got 2 votes for having a good rep, and 1 vote for a bad rep.  Overall, there were about twice as many votes cast for good as for bad (some players were reluctant to answer the “bad” question).

It just means to me the Tigers aren’t top of mind for players, in either regard.

The main comments from players on both good and bad reps were mostly about three topics:
1.  Player development
2. Analytics and video sophistication
3. Treatment of players families and childcare

There was also general commentary about teams being willing to spend vs. being cheap.  Some of those comments sounded a bit naive, contrasting the Dodgers vs. Pirates spending and framing it as willingness or classiness.
