The Tigers went to Fort Myers, to face the Red Sox.  They won the game, 7-2.

In the top of the second inning, Wenceel Perez singled, and Riley Greene followed with a home run.

In the bottom of the third innning, Braiden Ward walked, stole second basse, stole third base, and scored as the Tigers turned a double play.

In the top of the fifth, Jace Jung singled, stopped at third on a double by Max Anderson, and scored on a sacrifice fly by Corey Julks.

In the top of the seventh, Jace Jung was hit by a pitch, Jack Penney pinch-ran for Mr. Jung, and Jake Rogers doubled to drive in Mr. Penney.

In the bottom of the seventh, Braiden Ward walked, went to third on a single by Tyler McDonough, and scored on a sacrifice fly by Andruw Monasterio.

In the top of the eighth, Zach MacDonald walked, went to second on a single to Tomas Nido, and scored on a double by Jack Penney.

In the top of the ninth, Austin Slater walked, and Corey Julks homered.

Ty Madden gave uo one run on two hits and three walks in 3 2/3 innings.  He struck out two.

Ricky Vanasco pitched 1 1/3 perfect innings.  He struck out three.

Tanner Kohlhepp gave up one hit and one walk, but no runs in the sixth.  He struck out one.

Jack Little gave up one run on one hit.  He pitched the seventh and the eighth.

Trevin Michael gave up no runs and no hits, but walked two.  He got the first two outs of the ninth.  Yosber Sanchez retired the last batter of the game, the only batter he faced.

Tomorrow, the Tigers will go back to Fort Myers, to play the Twins.

The Tigers scored the only run of the first seven innings, but the Twins tied the game in the eight and scored the winning run in the ninth.  The Twins beat the Tigers, 2-1.

Back-to-back doubles in the fourth by Matt Vierling and Riley Greene gave the Tigers their only run of the game.

In the bottom of the eighth, Kaelen Culpepper singled, went to second base on a walk to Kala'i Rosario, went to third on a walk to Aaron Sabato, and scored on a sacrifice fly by Poncho Ruiz.

In the bottom of the ninth, Austin Martin singled, stopped at second base on a single by Kyle Hess, and scored on a single by Kaelen Culpepper.

Tanner Rainey was the opener for the Tigers.  He allowed one walk but no runs and no hits in one inning of work.  He struck out one.

Sean Guenther got four outs without allowing any runs, any hits, or any walks.

Drew Anderson pitched 2 2/3 innings.  He allowed one hit and one walk, but no runs.  He struck out four.

Konnor Pilkington gave up two hits in the scoreless seventh.  He walked none, and he struck out none.

Tyler Mattison allowed no runs and no hits, but walked one and struck out one in the eighth.

Cole Waites gave up one hit and two walks in the eighth, while getting only one out.  He was charged with one earned run.

Matt Seelinger gave up three hits in the ninth, allowing the winning run to score.  He did get one out in the ninth, as well has having gotten two outs in the eighth.

Tomorrow, the Tigers will host the Yankees in Lakeland.  Will Warren will start for the Yankees, against Justin Verlander of the Tigers.
