In this game, the Tigerss were behind before they got to bat, and they never tied the score, much less took the lead.
Seiya Suzuki hit a home run with two outs in the top of the first.
The 1-0 score lasted until the fifth inning. In the top of the fifth, Nico Hoemer singled, and Michael Busch homered.
In the bottom of the fifth, Zach McKinstry tripled, and scored on a fielder's choice, a grounder by Jake Rogers.
Pete Crow-Armstrong led off the seventh inning with a home run. Two outs later, Matt Shaw hit a solo home run.
In the top of the eighth, Seiya Suzuki hit his second home run of the game.
The Tigers would go on to win the rubber game of the series on Sunday.
