Seasons Greetings from Maureen & Glenn!!
We'd like to wish you and yours all the very best for the holiday season and 2016.
We've
had an eventful 2015. For those who don't know (and we're sure most of
you do) we've been in the process of having a new kitchen/dining room
extension built. We started the ball rolling on this work way back in
February, and the good news is that we are almost finished. We should be
enjoying Christmas dinner and celebrating New Year with family and
friends in the new room. Still a lot of work to be done to the exterior and surround but that will come over the next few months.
The
building work has sucked down most of our available cash this past
year, so no big vacation for us although we did manage a couple trips
down to London - one for the England vs Scotland rugby international and
one for the Alan Parsons Project gig. We also spent a wonderful long
weekend on the Isle of Arran off Scotland's west coast. We lucked out
with the weather, getting possibly the best weekend of the year. We
enjoyed a relaxing few days of walking, good food, and the odd dram or
two.
As we've done the past 2 years, in lieu of cards
and the associated postal costs we'll be making a donation to something
close to us. This year, we'll be supporting K4J - Kidney for Jillian, a
fund to help support my 16 year old cousin Jillian Laplante who is in
search of a kidney donor for what will be her second transplant. She is an amazingly beautiful and brave person. Read about her here - https://www.gofundme.com/Kidney4Jillian , https://www.facebook.com/Kidney4Jillian/?fref=ts and if you are able, please feel free to throw a few bucks her way.
Enjoy your holiday, and we hope 2016 brings you all you would wish for!

ps
Apologies if you get this message twice. We're trying to touch all
bases, and a few of you might be on multiple groups or we might have
more than one email address for you!
