> Seattle Mariners 3, Detroit Tigers 2 - final in 15 innings

After extending the series by winning game 4 in Detroit, the Tigers extended the deciding game to 15 innings before finally losing.

The Mariners took the early lead.  In the bottom of the second inning, Josh Naylor doubled, stole third base, and scored on a sacrifice fly by Mitch Garver.

In the top of the sixth, Javy Baez doubled, and Kerry Carpenter homered off new pitcher Gabe Speier.  The Tigers had a 2-1 lead.

In the bottom of the seventh, Jorge Polanco walked, went to second base on a two-out single by Josh Naylor, and scored on a single by Leo Rivas.

In the bottom of the fifteenth, J.P. Crawford singled, Randy Arozarena was hit by a pitch, Julio Rodriguez received an intentional walk, and Jorge Polanco singled to drive in Mr. Crawford with the winning run.
