Nick Dumesnil, OF from California Baptist, who was the Tigers pick in the 8th round was rated one of the steals of the draft, given that he was selected over 100 spots lower than he was rated coming into the draft.

The write up suggests that he might have been a first round selection but had an inconsistent season this year in his junior season.

By the way, were he to make the majors, I wonder if he would be the first California Baptist product to do so.
