Prince Fielder and Miguel Cabrera won Silver Slugger Awards, as the best hitters at their position in the American League. These awards are voted on by MLB managers and coaches.

So, the Tigers tied the Yankees for most Silver Slugger Awards winners on one A.L. team. The Washington Nationals had three winners, so they get franchise bragging rights.
