21-year-old Tigers' slugging C-1B prospect Josue Briceno is having tendon surgery on his right wrist and will be out indefinitely.

Briceno was probably slated to start the season with AA Erie. He's shown a pretty good arm as a catcher, but his other catching skills are limited. He could end up at 1B/DH.
