Although the Tigers scored the first run of the game, they lost the lead in the top of the third, and just kept falling further behind.

In the bottom of the first, Kevin McGonigle singled, Dillon Dingler was safe at first on a force out of Mr. McGonigle at second base, and Riley Greene doubled to drive in Mr. Dingler.

In the top of the third, Brayan Rocchio tripled, Jose Ramirez walked, Mr. Rocchio scored as the Tigers got the force out on Mr. Ramirez at second base, and Rhys Hoskins doubled to drive in Chase DeLauter, who had been safe at first on the force out.

In the top of the fifth, Brayan Rocchio walked, Angel Martinez singled, Jose Ramirez singled, Chase DeLauter was safe on a force out of Mr. Ramirez at second base as Mr. Rocchio scored, and Rhys Hoskins hit a sacrifice fly to drive iN Mr. Martinez.

In the top of the sixth, Travis Bazzana singled, Steven Kwan walked, Austin Hedges moved the runners along with a sacrifice bunt, Brayan Rocchio walked to load the bases, Angel Martinez singled to drive in Mr,. Bazzana, and Jose Ramirez doubled to drive in Mr. Kwan and Mr. Rocchio.

Matt Vierling led off the  bottom of the eighth with a home run.

In the top of the ninth, Jose Ramirez added a home run for the Guardians.
