It’s a bit of a deep cut, but some of you may appreciate it.

I was at the Saints - Bisons game yesterday, and the Bisons’ left fielder was Carlos Mendoza.

So in one inning, the Saints’ pitcher didn’t have his control, and started walking everybody. He walked the bases loaded, then walked in a run. Then up comes Mendoza, the walk king. You could see he was chomping at the bit — not to swing at all. He struck out on three straight called strikes. :-)

One other note. Mendoza was relegated to left field because the Bisons recently brought up a prospect from AA who plays second base. It was ugly watching Carlos massacre all the difficult plays out there. Reminded me of Justyn-Henry Malloy trying to play outfield after a career in the infield. It’s not so easy!
