Funny that Javy Baez is starting in CF for the AL tonight because he was elected as an outfielder.  He hasn't been playing much CF lately since Meadows came back (although I think several of us would prefer Baez in CF the way Meadows is not hitting).

Torres and Greene batting 1-2 for the AL.  Cool!

And Skenes K’d them both. In the bottom of the inning Skubal gave up hits to the first three batters and the NL led 2-0. He got the next three, including two by strikeout. 

Baez grounded out in his first AB. Not a great showing by the Tiger all-stars so far!

Skubal was mic’d the whole time he was pitching. In one way, it was kind of fun as he would say a couple of times what he was going to throw or how he felt about the pitch after it happened. But it also has to be distracting when you’re trying to get all star hitters out to have to talk to the broadcasters at the same time.

And although this game is fun and an exhibition, remember it also decides home-field advantage for the World Series, so it could matter to the Tigers down the road.

Skenes was cranking it up to 100-mph against Torres and Greene in his one inning.

The first 2 hits against Skubal were kind of cheapies.  Marte's double was hit hard.
