From Online:

Brock Deatherage has announced his retirement. The 2018 tenth round pick is now 25 years old and has a life to live beyond the game of baseball. There’s no Major League Baseball future in that life; and that’s okay. He played the game the right way and he was fun to watch. The speedster stole 64 bases in 78 attempts and ran down countless gappers.

Giving up baseball is okay *only if* he is uses that liberated time to become a vigilante.  If not, then he's wasted his second-best gift too.

Here's the boxscore for his professional debut, June 18, 2018.

Good luck Brock!

Best,
Michael

Deatherage is always a good name for a metal band.

Coming back to my email from last week, the joke I was referring to was a "Mystery Science Theater 3000" movie called "Space Mutiny," where the hecklers were making up names for the muscular star of the movie.  Here's a compiled list of the names that they sprinkled throughout the movie:

If I had to rank them, "Brock Deathrage" (sic.) would fit nicely after Big McLargehuge and Gristle McThornbody.
