Unlike the revolution the 2007 MLB first year player draft will be televised live for the first time.  In the past couple of seasons it has been shown over the internet on MLB.TV but this year draft on Thursday, June 7th will be broadcast on ESPN2. The Duece will cover the draft from 2 PM EDT until 6 PM EDT and should at least get the entire first round in. Teams will have a 5 minute time limit in which to make their choices in the first round.

This is not directly Tigers related, but I was wondering- several weeks ago ESPN classic disappeared from our cable lineup. I'm assuming that the local Comcast got rid of it for some monetary reason and that it didn't cease to exist altogether, but can anyone else confirm this?

Thanks,

Jeff:

I happen to be in Michigan this week and happened to have seen a note last night about it being moved way up the dial. Don't know where exactly but I seem to remember somewhere in the 180's?

There are still listings for ESPN Classic on the ESPN
website (espn.go.com, click on 'TV') - American Gladiators
on at 7PM!

I have Comcast and they moved it to a Digital Cable channel. (265, I think)
Strangely, I didn't receive a reduction in my basic cable rate.......

ESPN Classic might still be on, but it's not what it used to be with
all the World Series of Poker reruns and "Stump the Schwab" and
"American Gladiators" filling several hours of programming a day.

Later, David
