Ok, who does Hinch go to in extras? I think it has to be Melton, right? Or does he push Vest for another inning?

Maybe Flaherty? He’s got more rest than Mize and has the best stuff along with Melton.

Jahmai Jones still riding the bench when we need offense.  I don't care if he's righty, you pinch hit him for Meadows in the 10th, but Hinch let Meadows bat against Gilbert and he predictably struck out .

I'd hate to lose this game when we're struggling to score with no appearance from Jones.

Melton was nails.  Got Arozarena to strike out and J-Rod to ground out with the winning run at 2B in the 10th.  On we go to the 11th.

Terrific job by Melton to stifle the M's after the leadoff double by Robles. Intentionally walking Raleigh was the right move, but I thought for sure J-Rod would come through for them despite the earlier strikeouts. Happy to be wrong!

2-2 going to the 11th.

Carp gets a hit, Riley intentionally walked. Tork had a decent AB but flew out. The Keith had a terrible AB and struck out. I have no idea why he is even playing. Pinch hit Jones there and maybe we win the game.

Great job by Keider to get out of that mess with a fly left and then the 1-4-3 double play! Does he pitch a third inning? I kind of hope so. I don't really like the other options.

Montero seems rattled after the walk (after being ahead 0-2), then his throwing error, and the HBP. But there was ice water in his veins in the Crawford AB (despite the ump hosing him on at least one pitch) and then the calm throw to second to start the DP.

Another double play after Flaherty walked Raleigh and J-Rod to start the inning then struck out Suarez!

C'mon, Tigers batters! The pitchers keep giving you chances to score — we'd all appreciate it if you took advantage of these opportunities.
