Pirates tripped Tigers on Friday

Casey MIze got hit hard on Friday, and lost to Mike Clevinger and the Pirates, 7-5.
The trouble started in the top of the second inning. Rafael Flores Jr. walked, Jhostynxon Garcia singled, Alika Williams walked to load the bases, Jake Mangum walked to drive in Mr. Flores, and Tyler Callihan walked to drive in Mr. Garcia.
In the top of the third inning, Endy Rodriguez singled with two outs, and Jhostynxon Garcia homered.
In the top of the fourth inning, Jake MAgnum singled, Tyler Callihan singled, Joey Bart singled to drive in Mr. Magnum, and Endy Rodriguez singled to drive in Mr. Callihan.
In the bottom of the fifth, Wenceel Perez singled, Colt Keith walked, Jace Jung walked to load the bases, and Parker Meadows singled to drive in Mr. Perez and Mr. Keith.
In the bottom of the seventh, Woody Hadeen singled, Seth Stephenson and Jack Penney walked to load the bases, Mr. Hadeed scored on a wild pitch, and Mr. Stephenson and Mr. Penney scored on a fielding error by pitcher Chris Meyer. That almost tied the score at 6-5.
In the top of the ninth, Javier Rivas doubled, and scored on a single by Axiel Plaz.
Casey Mize was charged with six runs on six hits and four walks. He struck out two in 3 1/3 innings of work.
Brenan Hannifree gave up two hits but no walks and no runs in the fourth. He struck out one.
Beau Brieske gave up one walk but no hits and no runs in the fifth.
Tyler Holton pitched a perfect inning in the sixth, with one strikeout.
Ricky Vanesco gave up one walk but no runs and no hits in the seventh. He struck out one.
Konnor Pilkington gave up one hit but no runs and no walks in the eighth. He struck out one.
Marco Jimenez gave up one run on two hits and a walk in the ninth. He struck out three.
