1B-C Eduardo Valencia has also been red hot for the Mud Hens.  Valencia went 4-4 last night with 2 homers and 6 RBIs.  He was 3-5 today with a double, a walk and an RBI.   It's too bad Valencia is such a bad defensive catcher because he's probably a better hitter than Jake Rogers.  Valencia would be better suited as a 1B/DH.

Jace Jung also hit his 14^th homer today and drove in 4 runs.

Both Valencia and Jung are on the 40-man roster so they both could be called up without having to DFA anyone but they are both kind of blocked in Detroit.

I suppose Valencia could replace Jones as the righty DH.  Jung is stuck behind Keith, McKinstry and now Lee.
