The Tigers did well in the middle part of the game, and carried a lead into the bottom of the ninth. Then, there was trouble getting to the end.
In the top of the fourth, Kevin McGonigle singled, Dillon Dingler was safe on a fielding error by Pete Alonzo, Matt Vierling singled to drive in Mr. McGonigle, and Mr. Dingler scored on a sacrifice fly by Colt Keith.
Gunnar Henderson hit a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth.
In the top of the eighth, Dillon Dingler walked, went to third on a single by Matt Vierling, and scored on a single by Spencer Torkelson.
In the bottom of the eighth, Jeremiah Jackson doubled, went to third base on a ground out, and scored on a single by Taylor Ward.
In the bottom of the ninth, Jackson Holliday walked and stole second base, Leody Taveras walked, the runners performed a double steal, and Cotton Cowser homered to drive in Mr. Holliday and Mr. Taveras.
This was the eighth loss in a row for the Tigers. They won the second game of the doubleheader.
