> Chicago White Sox 7, Detroit Tigers 1 - final

It was the kind of a game whee the Tigers fell behind early and stayed behind.  Granted, the White Sox added five runs in the seventh and eighth innings, but that just added to the lead for the White Sox.

In the bottom of the first, Chase Meidroth doubled, Miguel Vargas and Colson Montgomery walked to load the bases with none out, Mr. Meidroth scored on a wild pitch, and Edgar Quero hit a sacrifice fly to drive in Mr. Vargas.

Wenceel Perez led off the third with a home run.

Edgar Quero led off the bottom of the seventh with a home run.  Then, Andrew Benintendi doubled, and scored on a single by Rikuu Nishida.

In the bottom of the eighth, Colson Montgomery homered, Edgar Quero singled with two outs, and Andrew Benintendi homered.

The Tigers lost on Sunday to complete the sweep, then swept the Rays in St. Petersburg.
