17-year old Santiago Ventura made his pro debut this morning for the DSL Tigers, and hit two home runs. For context, the DSL league leader only has 8.
The DSL is really preparing these kids for life in Detroit, because they pulled Santiago (the DH) for a pinch hitter on his last at bat.
Hopefully Ventura will have more success in his career than Brock Deatherage.
