We'll be happy if Hao-Yu Lee has DeJong's career.
DeJong actually had a very good start to his career. He had 25 homers and 2.7 WAR as a 23-year-old rookie with the Cardinals in 2017, 19 homers and 2.9 WAR in 2018 at age 24, and 5.2 WAR and 30 homers in 2019 at age 25. He was never really any good after
that. Not sure what happened, maybe opposing pitchers figured him out.
At this point DeJong is a better stopgap than Zack Short, but that's not saying much.
